Munhall is just 2.4 square miles in size and just 6 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. There are tremendous shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities at the Waterfront. It is close to Sandcastle Water Park in West Homestead, and Kennywood Amusement Park in West Mifflin. There are many affordable homes in the community and a lower tax rate than many other communities in Allegheny County. Unique for its big yards, sidewalks, walking-distance, library, and parks, as well as nearby shopping, entertainment and dining. Munhall is served by Steel Valley School District, and St. Therese School. There is also Carnegie Library of Homestead to enrich the community through creating opportunities for people to connect with each other, with information, and with the world. Library cards are free to residents, expire every two years, and are able to be used at any of the 43 libraries that are members of the Allegheny County Library Association.
