North Strabane is home to a rapidly growing population due to ongoing development, close proximity to shopping, dining and entertainment.  The Meadows Casino Racetrack and Hotel, Southpointe Business Park and Southpointe Town Center in nearby Cecil Twp., Tanger Outlets in nearby South Strabane, and all of the ancillary businesses that have come into the area with this development.  There are many new home construction communities in North Strabane with homes ranging in many price ranges.  North Strabane Park includes several playgrounds, walking trails and pavilions. It’s home to many North Strabane community events such as movies in the park, annual touch-a-truck and car cruises.  North Strabane is part of the Canon McMillan School District which consists of Canon McMillan High School, Canonsburg Middle School, North Strabane Intermediate, Cecil Intermediate, Borland Manor Elementary, Hills Henderson Elementary, Muse Elementary, South Central Elementary, and Wylandville Elementary Schools.  Major Highways in North Strabane are Routes 19, 519, and Interstate 79 making commutes to just about anywhere easy.  North Strabane Twp. Fire Department provides excellent fire protection and prevention services.  Operating out of three stations, the combination department is staffed by career and volunteer firefighters. Canonsburg Ambulance Services provide emergency medical coverage for North Strabane Township and the surrounding areas. The officers of the North Strabane Township Police Department are trained in a wide variety of law enforcement services. In addition, the Department has school resource officers and members on the Washington County Regional SWAT team, which provides county-wide specialized law enforcement response to critical incidents and situations.
